Spindle Nut Questions 07 F-150

Hi everyone,

I'm visiting from the diesel side and i'm working on my uncles 07 F-150 2wd, i'm putting new rotors on it. I know the spindle nut is suppose to be torqued to 295 ft/lbs. My question is, is there any specific way to do this, or can you just put it on and torque it to specs? Thanks for any help, as you can see i dont work on these trucks to much, i kinda prefer my old diesel, lol, its what i know.
