Laugh for the day - Funny eBay listing
I've been looking at a truck to replace my '01 Cummins Dodge with and of course i'm looking at a Ford. While browsing through the listings I ran across this one. The seller lists the truck as "Extra Large" it looks like a normal truck to me so it took me a second to figure out that what he's referring to is the "XL" trim package

Xtra Large: Compare the newer F250/350 Stupor Duty's with the F150's. The Stupor's are much larger. See my sig pic for comparison.
The Stupors are taller and longer than an F150, so will not fit into the average sized garage. My 231 1/2" long 2011 F150 fits into my garage w/4" to spare.

But correct me if i'm wrong, XL means Extra Luxurious .

I've always been opposed to the trend that started about 10 years ago....making the full-size trucks so massive. An average height person can't stand next to the bed of one of these trucks and reach over the side and touch the bed floor.
If you can't use the bed of a pickup without a ladder....it's usefullness decreases infinitely.
What's stark is when you park a brand-new Ford pickup next to a slick. The slicks seem like an appropriately sized vehicle that can be used as a tool to get jobs done.....while the big new trucks seem like bloated whales that are good only for towing trailers and running to the grocery store/mall.

My sig pic shows a bloated whale, the new F150 version.
Since I'm not the averaged sized person, I'm taller than the truck and can reach into the bed without too much difficulty.
And, cuz I'm 6-5, 300 and 66 years old with arthritis and other sins, I need a truck for the EZ to get into/oughtta access, cuz I cannot do that in a kiddie-car.
btw: The XL is the cheapest F Series truck available, so I doubt...in this case...it means eXtra Luxurious.
The XL name dates back to 1962, was first used on upscale Galaxies (500XL's) that came with bucket seats and a center console.
btw, part II: Old Dodge commercial stated: "Put a Dodge in your garage." Try doing that with the later Ram's, lotsa luck.

They just can't make it simple can they? When I looked at my slick to buy it I saw the Custom Cab emblem on the door and I assumed it was the cheapest trim package because that's what I was used to in the slightly later trucks... confusing.
