It is a 2000 crew cab long bed 4x4 it has 6637 mod and 4 inch turbo back mrbp exhaust. i use te truck to haul around a open car trailer with a 3000 pound car and some times haul the same car in a 28 foot enclosed trailer , i use the truck as a daily driver but only 5 miles to work every day. i plan on getting no start, stock, 60 tow, 80 econ and may get decel, thanks for all sugguestions

Looks good here! You might also wanna get a 100 or 120 just for fun! I kinda wish I had, but it must be scary fast because the econo is already so much faster than stock.

x2 with Trey, you will want a 100 or 120 to play with..on the 80econ have jody back off the first 25% of the throttle, if not you will snap your neck when you take off

Before you get too crazy with the 120 or 140 tunes... do you have gauges?????
Even in my 80e setting, if I wanted to, I could get things up to detrimental temps.
You will love the tuner for sure, but without gauges, you might not be enjoying it for too long

if you have a mirror on a long handle and a flashlight, open the hood, right below the brake master cylinder you should be able to see the back of the pcm... Just remember, whatever you see in the mirror is backwards

Here is the instructions on the install of the DP-TUNER. Welcome to guzzle's DP Tuner's Chip Installation Web Page

I would also get Hi-Idle (1200 rpm).

What you should do is come on down to RRE at the end of July and talk directly to Jody and get it there. While your there, you will meet some of the best guys and gals in the world and have a ton of fun doing it. If you can't come, call Jody and tell him what you have and what you want to do with it, He will steer you right.

My F5 has no-start, stock, 1200rpm Hi-Idle, 40tow, decel, 60tow, 80econo. Definitely get the hi-idle and decel. I pull a 12,000lb 5'er and it holds really well on those long downgrades. Perma-Grin!!! is on its way.

The 60e (hwy eco. tune) looks good when you read about it, but I recomend you stay away from it. I got that tune and I get worse mileage with that than the 80e on the hwy with the cruise set. I got the 140 aggressive (smoke tune) I just blow smoke in it I never drive or race in it, I got the 120 for racing.

Barry's right, I'll be there.

I love the Drive-Thru tune and use it all the time. Bank teller's can hear me know and it also helps when someone is standing outside your door talking to you.

I got my tuner about 2 weeks and got the 80E, 60E, and 60T. I wish I had gotten the 120 just for giggles. Can we send those back and get them reprogrammed?

I just put mine In on Wednesday I went cheap and got no start, stock, 80e, 80t. I love it, the throttle response is amazingly smoothe! It's like a new truck in comparison, it was a turd, it is now a rocket. It rolls coal bigtime! I can smoke the tires like nothing! I can't imagine what 100r or 120r would do! Can't wait till someone pisses me off in traffic and I fill there car with black smoke!

I'd recommend another tow tune, like a 40T to go with the 60T. That way you have an option other than all the way down to Stock if your EGTs get scary up a long hill. x2 on the Decel tune, it's pretty awesome. Backing off the 80E initial throttle response 25% is also a good idea. Having a quick throttle "tip in" is part of the economy strategy, but I'd prefer something more linear.

And a real tranny cooler, like a 6.0 or Tru Cool. The OEM unit is inadequate for towing, and the dash gauge is more of an idiot light than a gauge. x2 on what VegasFord said about gauges.

Lots of guys set up their truck for speed or fun, but towing is a different animal. Sounds like your tow load is not real heavy, but for a few bucks more now you can be ready for lots more weight later.
