"So they Tasered, pepper-sprayed and beat him and called for backup from "upward of 20 police officers" after the boy rode his bicycle home to ask his mother for help"
I know how hard police officers jobs can be, my cousin is with KDPS but this is just crazy. I understand he was running away from them for help which they probably didn't know but why so much force involved. Taser, pepper-spray and beating on him...I mean really?!? Especially just for "disrespecting them" it's not like he was pulling
out a gun or a knife.
Am I the only one in thinking that these officers overreacted..just a little?

So the neighbor who was threatened with arrest, the friend and "numerous" bystanders who were telling the officers about the kids' disability are liars too?
Sounds like something a LEO would say.

We're talking about a Police Department, who not too long ago, relaxed the test scores to get more minorities in the department

Those officers, IMHO, need to be corporally punished, fined (With the fines going to a trust fund or something of the sort for the victim) and then relieved of their duty with a dishonarable discharge....Just my . 02 though...
And I agree...If it had simply been the boys mother, yeah, it could have been a he said/she said deal....But with NUMEROUS bystanders, etc trying to communicate for the poor boy....Well..That goes from a liar, to a pure outright abuse of authority.....
