AWD? engaging during mild acceleration
My 2000 Expedition sometimes engages the front axles? when doing a mild accelleration up to around 50 mph. (The rear wheels are not slipping and the tires are all good.) The Ford crew at the dealership can't find the problem. It creates a very noticed jerking and slight hesitation. I had the transmission fluid changed and this seemed to help the problem for a few months. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks

I believe what you are experiencing is the driveline shudder that has been discussed on the forum before. In overdrive going up an incline you get a vibration-which feels like the truck has moved the power to the front of the vehicle. Check out the other posts regarding tranny vibration or shudder.
