any answers out there?

ok, ive posted about this before, but i never goot the answer to this part of my problem. I just replaced my front and rear shocks, sway bar bushings and steering stabilizer and im having a 2 inch leveling kit put in to raise the front. They are billit alluminum blocks that will be going under the front springs. I replaced the old shocks with stock length ones, but theyre supposedly a step up from stock. When i was at the shop trying to get the blocks installed, they said they couldnt do it, they need 2 inch longer shocks. Ive heard that from two places, but also heard that you dont need longer ones. Please let me know if i do or not so i dont have to end up buying another set of shocks if i dont need them. sorry to be so long winded, but thanks in advance.

I have a 2.5 inch from aluminum block spacers on stock shocks. I would much rather like 2" because 2.5" is too much for all of the stock from suspension components, not just the shocks. I added spacers to the stock shocks, about 1". this helps but I do want longer shocks. I have been driving and some 4x4 and I have not had true issues with stock shocks + 1" spacers.

What shocks did you get?

When i leveled my front end with a 2" lift the shop told me that stock would work but that it really would not be ideal b/c the shock would limit "droop".
I dunno but since i wanted new shocks anyway it didnt seem that big of deal buying 2" longer front shocks

If they overextend and start leaking, you'll just need new shocks anyway, worth a try unless you can return em now.

I agree with the above. My 1" shock spacers are just temporary. Once they fail I will get bilstine or rancho 9000xl(adjustable)
