Could someone help decode my new shop truck?
C61EVZ08063
WB- 111...... assuming 111 inches?
Color- 6
Type- C6
GVW- 17....... Gross v weight 17k lbs?
Body- A28........ Custom cab?
Trans- 2
Axle- F3M
DSO- 586632
This was a farm contact (mechanic) truck and has about 36k on it... i got a great deal on it and am looking at making a staplepoint of my shop. but i got to get rid of the axles, drivetrain actually. looking at putting 2007 f550 axles under her. just wondering if anyone has done any kind of swap like that? keeping the hyd brakes, is my main thing.
Thanks in advance!

You can probably swap those axles if they will fit. You'll figure it out with a tape measure etc. Not sure what wheel and tire you will use as the F550 is low profile on 19.5s and your C600 is probably 8.25x20s. On brakes, you can keep juice brakes, but look at the system on the C600 vs. the F550. Your issue will be to construct a dual m/c boosted system in the confines of the C series cab. There isn't a lot of room for the master, and they have a goofy set up where you pour fluid in from the back with the cab tilted.....
Good luck with it!

Last Friday evening the winds died down and for the first time I could see flames, spot fires were burning over a range of low hills about a mile south.
To make matters worth, the TV/phone and internet (Spectrum) had failed around 3 PM, so now I had no way to know if there was an evacuation order.
As I watched the fire, I noticed blue lights heading their way, figured they were FD pumper trucks. An hour or so later, the fires were out.
