51 hood opening

51 hood opening

It looks like the hood on my 51 will open almost straight up at 90 degrees. true? Any cons to opening it that far if its possible?

It seems to me it would be great if it did. The best mine will do is only about 45 degrees. I'm always banging my head on mine, it won't raise up nearly high enough for me.
