Power Pedals Question

When I move the pedals to the position furthest from the driver and when pedals arrive in the down position, I hear click click click until switch released, like a slipping plastic gear noise. Is this normal or is it defective?

Yeah basically it sounds like you are slipping a gear by trying to extend the pedal too far. The pedal stops but the button is still being pushed and is still trying to move the pedal.
