I have a stock 2005 4x4 excursion. Im currently running 285 75 r16 BFG A/T. I need new tires, looking to replace them with 315 75 r16 with a 16x8 wheel. I dont want to do anything to the suspension, just fill out the wheel well. Can it be done? Also what wheel spacing do I need on the 16x8 wheel. Thanks for the inputs.

If your X has the typical front end sag that most stock ones have, you probably won't be able to fit 315's without some rubbing. I had 305/70R16's on my F250 and they rubbed just a touch on the inner fender liner when turned to full lock going backwards.

However, if you put on a leveling kit you should have no problems clearing the 315's. I did the leveling kit on my truck and my 305's now have plenty of room.
