i found some used tires at a local tire shop
got them installed yesterday.

I am in need of some tires for my F250
they need to be load rated for a 3/4 ton truck prefer "E" rated
and need to have legal tread and no dry rot (problem with current tires)

I don't feel safe loading up my truck on these old tires
and I can't afford a set of new (especially since I will only drive about 1-2K miles a year, but mostly with a load)

if anyone has some 16 inch Truck Tires, I'd be interested.
245's / 265's / 285's will all work for my needs.


any help would be great

and I have a friend in a Tire shop to install (he's been on the lookout for 16" tires, but everything he's been seeing is 17's)

 

best bet man is to check craigslist

I have been watching CL,
surprised at how little I'm finding (and how much of a pain it is to search tires on CL when you have specifications to fufill)

as well,
I'd rather help a fellow forum member clear there garage/fill there pockets than some random internet seller on CL.

 

i dont appreciate you sarcasm there man..i was trying to help you out..and yes alot of people dont think about looking at cl..so if i didnt post it someone else would have...

you asked for help and i did what i could...here locally you can find just about any tire you want on cl hence why i had mentioned it..

also check some other tire shops. I dont know if you have perfection tire over there but they re sell used tires that are in good shape and they carry a warranty on them.

I've been in touch with local tire shops (one of my best friends is an assistant manager at one of them, has been on the lookout for me for over 2 months (with NO 16" 3/4Ton Tires coming in))
the ones that are allowed to re-sell used tires rarely see 16's (load rated)
they have 17's every week

 

too bad you arent headed over this way for some reason i see alot of 16s at perfection tire whenever im there... and they do have very reasnoable prices

i bought a set of 50% tread cooper discoverer stt 31 10.50s mounted and balanced for $100..

(too bad it would cost me nearly $400 to drive there and back)

I have 3 sets 10 ply 245/75r16 GY wranglers I pulled off some rigs at the Yakima firing center. I am in yakima. A bit of a drive from Bremerton, but closer than kennewick. My work does a lot of tires for the government rigs and pepsi rigs here in Yakima county. Let know if you still need them or what. I see a lot of them a least 1 set a day, mist of the time they don't make it to my used rack. But I try to keep a couple sets stocked. Email is thsoptich@yahoo
