power/vaccum problem

i'm just a novice at working on cars, i changed my in line gas filter and air filter on my 1997 expedition, when i was changing the gas filter the ring in side one of the hoses got bent (no gas is leaking), any way now my truck runs like there is a vacuum leak it idles rough when in gear, and shakes like crazy when you try to accelerate. it sounds like there are loose bolts in the catalytic and tyranny, i unplugged the sensor on the top tube of the air flow but there was no change. i really need hlp has anyone come across this problem. I'm totally lost in Tracy, ca
