Fuel in coolant tank!

Ok guys I already looked up how the fuel is getting in and how to change the injector cups. How can I pressure test the system to find out which one or ones are bad? I only have 90,600 miles on the truck. Should I just replace all of them? Should I also replace the injector o-rings while I'm in there? Any advice on this and what I should do for maintenance while I am in there is greatly appreciated! Only want to have to be in there once.

Clay (Riffraff) has the loaner tool but think you have to buy a complete set to use it. I would give him a call and see what he says.

If it was me, I'd do all 8 & put new o-rings on the injectors & be done with it.

Danny "Mongo 75" just had the same problem. It was the Injector Cups. Remove the Glow Plugs & turn the Engine. The Cylinder that spits out coolant is your culprit... Good luck.....

Thanks guys and gals. I probably will end up replacing them all with o-rings on the injectors and new glow plugs since they will be out. Martika 7.3 thanks for the way of finding out which ones are bad. I'll let ya all know what I find out.

The way to check for a leaking injector cup is to remove all 8 injectors and drain cooling system. Clean injector cups with clean rag and spray with soapy water. pressurize empty cooling system to 16psi and look for soapy bubbles. If no bubbles notes a cylinder head can be cracked internally between a fuel and coolant passage way with would result in replacement of both cylinder heads if machine shop couldn't specify which one is cracked.

Thanks girl. I still plan on doing it the way you posted but if some one had a way to pressurize it I would try it.

With the glow plugs out do i turn the engine over by hand? Will that be enough compression to spit the coolant out? Or do i need to hit the starter?

Also I have 2 glow plugs that are white at the top of the element before the metal. Is that a sign of which ones could be leaking?

When I did mine once I got the cups out you could see which one was cracked, but there were a few that looked like a hairline crack on the outside but not all the way through. I would change them all and not worry about it.
