New 2007 F250

Well I finally traded in my old OBS for a new truck.

2007 F250 4x4 Crew-Cab Diesel with 26K miles

What I like:
4x4 selector is the floor shifter...not the ESOF
What I dont like:
The small mirrors vs the full size mirrors
paying the note

Great looking truck! That was my second color choice when I ordered mine. My first choice (wife's first choice) was the Arizona Beige.

That's a great looking truck you're looking at too Daniel. Take that VIN number to your local Ford dealer and get an OASIS report....of course, you probably already knew that.

It's actually not too bad. That's up near Fairfax / Manassas / D.C. so the price isn't too far off. I'd try to get them down around $23k if you can. It's not a Lariat but it does appear to be in top notch shape. It also has the trailer brake controller and the upfitter switches so it appears to be pretty heavily optioned. I'd go for it it the OASIS and Carfax are clean.

Thanks guys, I am super excited about the new vehicle!!!

I also found the orig window sheet in the glove box...
More good: the transmission is setup for a PTO from the factory
More bad: regular axle...not limited slip

Well Chris, you're not missing much with the OEM limited slip. You'll be more satisfied going aftermarket on that. Mine has been pretty good but not on par with a True-trac or ARB, etc.

Mirrors aren't a big deal, really. Just get a set of the tow mirrors from a salvage yard and swap them out. You also have the option of the 08-up mirrors. BTW nice truck! Good luck with it. Make sure you read thru the tech folder for tips and tricks to keep it running as it should!

yea I am going to keep an ear to the ground for a set of 08 mirrors.
And good idea about the tech folders... I am going to read all I can and try to avoid posting the "new guy" type of questions/threads

There are tons of threads and posts regarding the 6.0 but these are the ones I've found most helpful over the years. I know it's a lot to absorb but it's great info. If nothing else, you could just bookmark each and go back to them as time permits....that's what I did. Best of luck with your new truck!

On EDIT: My bad in posting this. MUCH credit goes to bismic, brickie, bpounds, D8, and many others that have contributed their knowledge. I just save these to my favorites list for reference. These guys are the ones that deserve credit for the information.

Good looking truck and really low mileage. Mines an 06 with 123,000 on it now.

Big J I tried to rep ya for all those links, but I gotta spread some love, maybe someone else can hit you with some. I don't want any credit, I just regurgitate what those others you mentioned told me. Well, them and several others, but thanks for including me
