Question Frame / chassis Dimensions

Would anyone have the Frame / chassis Dimensions for an '86 F250-F350 Ext. cab? ... please? I searched the net and no luck. I did find a really nice one for my 1935 Ford 1/2t.

I do have the frame for my '35 but no chassis, no box and no power train. My '86 F350 has a 6.9 diesel, std, 4x4 dually and runs absolutely great but the body is rusted extremely bad. I'm not using this truck cuz I have my newer F350 dually. So because I like to build something different & unique, I'm thinking of the idea of trashing the '86 body and put the '35 body on the '86 4x4 dually chassis, run some 4" chrome stacks, no truck bed... maybe a flatdeck or just chrome rear fenders.

Would be cool to have a '35 with 6.9 diesel 4x4 dually or ****'n crazy. LMAO

Basically, I want to compare frame dimensions on paper to see how much work is involved.

Thanks

The width of the frame from the cab forward will be the same as your 86 you have now. And that's what you need to mount the 35 cab correct?

Your 86, if it's a factory 4x4 dually, is a chassis/cab truck and never had a rear pickup bed on it. The frame is thicker, and after the cab the frame is narrower than a pickup frame, with a 4 inch narrower dually rearend and narrow rear leaf springs.

If the 86 had a pickup bed on it originally, then someone has converted it to 4x4 which is easy enough to do. I am sure you already know the later frames are very much wider than the older truck frames.

My '86 was originally an F250 4x4. I converted it to a dually by swapping the rear diff & dually box from a '90 F350. It's always been a 4x4 and the F250 & F350 are the same width frames.

I know a lot of modifications will need doing but that's minor details. The '35 frame is way more narrow in the front. I just wanted to compare frame specs on paper before attempting.

Well, since you have a pickup frame, all dimensions will be the same from 80-96. The extended cab will of course be a little longer in the middle, with the kick-up to the bed being delayed a little bit to accommodate the longer extended cab. Besides the wheelbase, all these trucks(pickups) have the same dimensions on the frame.

Yes but the '86 chassis is not anywhere near the 1935 truck so that's why I'm looking for a chassis drawing for the '86. I have the '35 drawing already.
