2000 vs. 2010 F350 turning radius
So, I am used to driving 2000 F350 crew cabs (SRW and DRW). I recently spent time driving a 2010 F350 DRW crew cab and it seems the turning radius is way smaller on the 2010 (these are all pretty long wheel base trucks...maybe 180", or so). Was there a front-end re-design, or am I imagining the difference?

The '08-'10 dually had a "wide-track" option available that provided an even tighter turning radius than the '05 and up. You might be driving one of those.

Thanks Bill,
That's interesting about the wide track. From the pics, I don't think the truck I was driving had that option....but, it sure did turn well. Time and time again I would approach a turn-around situation, while pulling a good size 2-axle trailer, and just bust out the turn without any fill/backfill. Very different from the 2000 F350s.

Well Z,
I could easily be imagining the difference I see in the pics. There is one pic from a straight-head-on view that makes me think I can see a couple inches difference. It would be best if there were side by side pics.
Is the extent of front-fender flare the same on wide track trucks?

From the link below (Page 70 - STEERING SPECIFICATIONS), it appears that the F450 Crew Cab Long Bed has a slightly smaller turning radius (Curb-to-Curb & Wall-to-Wall) than the F250 Regular Cab Long Bed due to an enhanced 18:1 gear ratio versus the standard 17:1 gear ratio. Amazing!
