Not_His_F250's brake thread!!

Here are the symptoms

she still grabbs the Brakes while driving.... then after a while she releases them. Meaning she *hopps* rathen then drives, Brakes are hot after and smelly but so far no damage done.

She also still has a jerky braking when your trying to stop.

best I can explain it lol

Here is what has been done

Pads, Lines, Rotors, Calipers, all greased and looks good, bleed many Times & Changed Power stearing Fluid.
2 different Shops & 1 Hubby later
she still does it

so we going to replace Boost next. Then the Master ... and if she still does it after all that I sell her and buy a new Truck

Jasmin,

can you feel anything in the steering wheel when it happens? Do you feel anything in the pedal? is it in the back or the front that it gets hot? Or all 4?

I'd check the ABS, can you hear the ABS motor doing anything when you hit the brakes and they pulse? You could try pulling the fuse for the ABS out too that should disable the system and see if it does it still. That's a cheaper test then replacing the booster or master.

Great suggestions, just sent her off a message to give it a try.

Is brake pedal go down and will not go up easy or slow? Feel STIFF or spongy?

It use power steering pump to running brake system on diesel so is power steering fluid smell burnt or low on oil?

iI wonder if AE scanner can find more info on abs system? I could give 1 try on mine f350 to see if it show info or not.

Where city she live near so we can help her and inspect.

trying to answer all Questions

I noticed before she does it the brake pedal is VERY stiff, no play.

The pulsating can be fellt throughout the Whole truck, but yes also in the Steering Wheel.

No noise when she does it .....

It smells from the Front and power steering Pump fluid has been replaced and is not low.

feels like something is grabbing my tires,,,,,,,,

I will have Mike check that Fuse when he gets home Saturday.....

Thanks Guys...

You cant amagine how frustrating this is !!!!

We all thought slide pins in the begining, but Mike checked them, from there he went after the lines.

Well I guess I should have found this thread before I posted in the other one. Sounds like everything I suggested has been done.

I would start looking for a bearing locking up, or the proportioning valve/ABS system. If you can smell brakes.

The pulsation is the rotors. Take the stock ones off and throw them in the scrap pile. I have had the best luck with slotted and drilled rotors, never had any pulsation after. Make sure lugnuts are torques correctly and evenly.
