Was wonderin how much oil my 1992 F150 holds. It has the 302. Any help is appreciated.

 

I assume you mean engine oil, if so 6 quarts including the filter. The 302, 351, and the 460 all take six quarts, not sure what the 300 takes.

 

The capacities chart in my Chilton manual (covers 87-96) says a 92 F-150 with a 5.0 takes 6 qts of oil. Same as my 91 5.0.

Same chart says 6 qts for the 4.9 also.

 

My 1996 F150's manual said 5.0 qts for all engines, but said 6 with filter change.

I missed the last part, put 5 in with a filter change and the oil level reads full on the dipstick :shrug:

 

I agree slow...My dads 302 uses 5 qts, INCLUDING filling the filter up....My 300 uses 6....Filling the filter up.....

 

5qts. for my 302. The only engine I've seen use 6qts(or more since it's hungry) is my dads '01 Suburban with a 5.3l. I say it's hungry because it doesn't leak oil and there's no blue smoke or the burning oil smell coming out of the exhaust.
