Well, my truck is gone, i totaled it a week ago...such a shame. But on the bright side ive got a good engine still. Ive also got a 79 f150 which has a 351 with 240,000 miles on it. So i was wondering if i could swap my fuel injected 351 in my 79, and have it bolt up to the c-4 trans. This would save me the trouble of finding a new truck, and i would like to know how much it would cost to have someone do this for me. I love my 79 and i hope this is a solution i can use. any help would be appreciated.

I doubt you'll find anyone who'll do it, but if you do, I'd expect them to want $2000-4000. When I started checking into swapping EFI into mine, every mechanic I talked to (shadetree, professional, & dealership) said it couldn't be done. So I did it myself. It wasn't nearly as hard as they led me to believe. Even working alone, it only took me ~5 days to go from driving the carbed engine into my carport to pulling out & test-driving the EFI. As long as you keep EVERYTHING that the engine's wiring is connected to, you should have no problem.
