Smile List of parts

Hey everyone,

I have a 85 F150 with 302 in it, and I am currently restoring the truck. I really want to improve the engine, but I do not know much about old engines, and I am new to trucks. So would anyone give me a list of parts to buy and mods to be done? I would really appreciate it!!! I have a budget of $500 - $1000.

Thanks!

Welcome to FTE! Just go back to Conanski's posts on this very thread for your answers. Intake, small 4bbl, dual exhaust, cam.

How do you think of the Summit Racing SUM-CBJJ118? Or are there other suggestions for exhaust system?

Not sure that will fit your truck, looks like it is for early Bronco. Local muffler shops are hard to find I suppose, but that's where I'd go. Headers are good for power, but the SBF manifolds are not the worst in the world for a mild upgrade, especially since you are not upping compression with new pistons.

Dual 3'' tubes are WAY too huge for a 302 (even a built one).
