Steering drag link / tie rod end

I recently added a 2 1/2" mini spring pack to the front end of my 2003 F250, 6.0, 4x4. In the process of removing the track bar, I had to remove the draglink bar (the bar that connects to the pittman arm for the steering box) because the track bar bolt wouldn't clear it. In doing so, the pickle fork damaged the grease boot closest to the passenger side. After installing everything back, I've noticed there is a tad bit of slack in the bar (plus the grease boot is busted) so I want to replace the bars. My other tie rod ends and ***** joints still feel solid.

Anyway, what the heck do I call this part when ordering? I've looked at a dozen sites and nothing refers to this year model by drag link bar, merely inner and outer tie rod ends for passenger and driver side (4 tie rod ends total). Even one of the Ford parts websites refers to the left side as an "inner tie rod" and the right side as the "center link". Can these end pieces be pressed out? If so, where do you find replacements.

Attached are some pics of what I need. The center adjustable tube is a bit scratched up now, was pretty siezed up when I had to make some adjustments to correct the steering wheel.

Thanks.

My service manual (for a 2004) calls the entire arm all the way across the center link and gives a part number of 8C3Z3304G.

It is somewhat confusing however, because the diagram below is off of Ed's site and it shows it as three pieces, with the piece you want being the inner tie rod end.

You might contact Ed. He can give you the right information.

Chamberlain,

Thanks for the reply. I had actually referred to the same schematic prior to posting my question. Funny how one side is referred to as a center link but the opposite side is referred to as a tie rod end.

Wondering if these ends can be pressed out?

Any other thoughts?

I don't think they can be pressed out. I think you will have to buy the entire inner tie rod end. I suspect my service manual has an error and the diagram from Ed's site is correct. I would contact Ed at www.partsguyed.com and ask him. He is very parts knowledgeable.
