New Dent Owner - 1976 F-250 2wd

I have to say a big THANKS to my wife. I was cruising craigslist while I was on a break at work and came across a truck that was a bit out of my price range. It was a fair price for the condition of the truck, but still a little more than I was looking to spend. I talked with my wife about it this morning and that was it. About 20 minutes later, she called me back and asked where the truck was located, when she could go look at it and how much money she needed to bring. I contacted the seller, and set it up. She went and looked at it and approved. She looked at a few things I wanted her to. I negotiated a price with the seller and she drove it home.

I am now the owner of a 2wd 1976 F250 Ranger XLT with a 460 and automatic transmission. Black exterior with red interior. This will be my scoot around town truck untill I get my 4x4 built.

The kicker, I am at work until the evening of the 23rd, so I can not even see it yet.

I'll post pictures if she will send me any (she is the kind that would not send them, because it's funny.... ) or when I get home and get pics for myself.

I know it has a few things to be fixed right off the bat, but nothing too major.

EDIT - Snagged pics off the add before it was deleted. Enjoy

I want a wife like you've got! She sounds like a real "keeper". Nice truck too.

Thanks and she is by far, one of the best decisions I have made in my life (the wife that is).

She said our son approves too.

Three more days until I get to turn the key for myself. The day after I get home I need to try and find the time to swing it by the Emission Test Center and have them give it a once over before I try and get it tested. Dadgum thing still has to pass an I/M Test to get it registered.

I love the chrome bumper on the back. (It is chrome isn't it?). Nice truck! You've got a good wife.

Thanks.

Once I get home Thursday evening, I should be able to take some more pics. The wife is pretty busy and I was happy to get the pics I did. I still have not seen the truck in person yet. That's what I get for taking a job that takes me away from home a couple weeks at a shot. I should have more pics up by Friday.

Congrats on the new old truck. Looks very solid. The smile on your son's face says it all. He might already be getting the addiction!
