HELP!!! Hub interchange for Dana 44

I am hunting to find a front hub for my 4x4. It is a dana 44. My truck is a 69 f100. I have been hunting the yards near me for a 67-72 but there doesnt seem to be much there (most axles have been takin). What years did the hub stay the same? Any help will be much appreciated.

There are 3 different hubs: Warn manual / Warn "Lock-O-Matic" / Dana/Spicer, marked Ford.

How can I tell the difference? It has a red **** in the center, on the lock out itself it says free and then 90deg from free it says locked. How can I tell which of the three that I have? I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly numberdummy!

Is the hub missing or completely trashed? If not, rebuild kits are pretty reasonable.

It is completely trashed. That is why I need to find at least a salvageable hub.

With a red center, sounds like you have the Ford units (Dana/Spicer), should be able to find one at a pick-n-pull, however a new pair of Warns aren't that expensive.

Where can I buy a new hub? I don't need the lockouts, those are in fine condition but the hub themselves are bad. I have checked the local pick-n-pull places and I havent found anything yet. I did find a 74 bronco with 4 wheel drive but the junkyard asked if I had an early edition hub or late edition, and I didnt know what the difference would be. How do I find out if I have an early or late edition? the lockouts looked the same on that one but I didnt want to take it home to find out I had gotten the wrong one.

Raybestos shows a part# 4943, but the catalog says it fits down to 73. Not sure if it would fit earlier. If Napa, etc. has it in stock you could compare.

Now numberdummy, while I was at a junkyard they had asked me if it was an early or late 69 hub. Is that going to affect the part number that you gave me? I have the vin if that will help you. It is F11ACI79035. Thanks ahead of time for all of your help.

I believe it's a model year split, and with your VIN you should have the later one.
