Most any engine needs 10 psi per thousand RPM. You should be good. Is the gauge known to be accurate?

Ross,

Thanks, nice piece of information. The gauge and sender are brand new, mechanical set up, My original gauge and sender would give fluctuating values. was not sure which was vad, so I replaced both

I can't find the actual spec on it right now, although I do have it some where, but the PSI @ idle was as low as 5-10, and as much as 45 @ speed.
