Decking The Halls - December 2017 All-Topic

Where did the year go? Or, at least 11/12ths of it?

Visited a fine museum today; always on the lookout for CA connections, and so close to Dummy!

Yeah, not good. The wind is howling. I can't remember being awakened by the wind down here in the middle of the valley, but last night was pretty loud at our house.
Those poor folks in the Ventura area are in it bad.
One of the camera operators at The Voice had to leave to move her horse to safety.

They're running out of places to board horses. Pierce is even full.

Cousin and her husband live up CA-150 about two miles from Santa Paula town-center. They were evacuated at 0430 this morning. Haven't heard anything since. We know the fire got to within four houses of theirs, but nothing additional.

My youngest brother got stuck for a short time on the 210 when they initially closed it.

Gonna' be black along the Rincon this winter.

Sure has been a wild day for the Southland!

Can't imagine being in this firestorm (from LA times). Wonder if he's unplugging the Xmas lights? Edit, garden hose.

Amazed that the fire grows to the east as well as west. Sad to see Wheeler gorge campground get hit. The hiking trails around Matilja canyon rd will be quite different, will be impressive wildflowers when the mud subsidies.

Finally received the Takata recall on my 2007 Honda. The pic in the red triangle is clear enough; no chunks missing outta the person though.

Greetings from Chicago, 14° this morning so why not pour some cement. It looks like they’re testing every truck batch, Gotta watch out for that questionable (grades= good, fair, poor, political) batch of cement.
