Mercon V Question

I screwed up and topped off my low C6 tranny ('68 F250) with Mercon V ATF. Used about a half qt before I realized my mistake of misreading the label which states "not for use with transmissions calling for Type F ATF".

Question is...is 1/2 a qt enough to merit a tranny flush? What are the adverse effects of using Mercon V in place of Type F?

1966/76 C6's (1964/76 C4's) use type F ATF. Mercon wasn't used until 1977.

if you didn't start the sucker then you can get by with only draining the pan.

Otherwise I'd call 3-4 tranny shops in your area and get their opinion. I'm sure they've seen it all.
