Can anyone give me some insight on this problem. Every morning when I accelerate from the stop sign at the end of my street to get out into the main road, with moderate acceleration my truck rev's to 2500 RPM in 1st gear, holds that for about 2 seconds as if it is topped out on RPM then white smoke blows out of my exhaust until I punch the gas or remove my foot from the gas pedal bringing the RPM's down to idle then accelerate again with 3/4 throttle (harder acceleration than origional) in either case I have a hard shift into 2nd gear and no more problems for the rest of the day.

 

Welcome to FTE!...I am assuming you are not getting a CEL(check engine light)?What mods do you have?How many miles on the truck?

 

bought it w/ a 4" lift, make shift intake (trying to copy K&N set up) that is all I know right now. I've got 157,000 on it. no CEL comes on when this happens. I've changed the oil, front and rear diff, transmission fluid and filter but still the same every morning.

 

You're just burning out the leak down oil from your turbo, just be ready to sport for that rebuild before too long, it takes a little bit of heat for everything to expand to it's "normal"operating size. That's my take on it
