firestone air bags

has anyone installed the dual switch for the firestone airbags?
I am thinking about going this route, but I can't find how large the switch panel is? Any installed pics would be appreciated. Thanks Ben

If you look at this link, you can probably figure the size pretty close.. The guage itself is probably 2 & 1/6"....Using a little geometry, it figures out to be 4 5/8" X 2 1/2".

I have the single switch on my truck. Never felt the need for the dual.

I thought the dual would be better to isolate the left and right sides.

Most don't have the need to do this (some do...).

Mine are 'isolated'.....They're so 'isolated' that I have to leave my warm, dry cab and inflate (or deflate) each air bag separately with a portable air pump or the corner of my thumbnail.....

But hey....I'm dreaming.

i though I read that if they are together you can experience increased body roll going around corners as the air leaves the one bag and goes to the other, causing the inside corner to raise even more. Then again, maybe that was just someone's theory that I read and not actual experience on the road.

You dont want to isolate, it can make for dangerous ride charecterics having different effective spring rates on opposite sides of the vehicle.

I thought you were supposed to have each side isolated so you could level unbalanced loads side to side,as well as to correct rear sag....

That's the theory but I personally didn't Lille the way it felt like t was going to rail me off the road every time I'd hit a pot hole, too scary for me!

I agree with hottroddsl. Don't try to level with bags. Puts too much load on one side. Think nascar, spring rubber, right rear. Increases load, traction and faster wear on right rear.
I have air lifts, had separate valves for each side but same air pressure. Now have compressor with both sides joined. No problem hauling maximum load.
Adjust load weight balance side to side instead of using bags to level! You will be happier

Mine are isolated with the air valve's by the license plate, manual inflate. I put them at the same psi when I haul the camper or put the quad in the bed. Never an issue. Couldnt afford the air compressor.
