Weekend car show pics!

Went to a car show the next town over, (120 miles) nice turnout....150-200 cars. Not many on topic Ford trucks....lots of muscle cars. Still a good variety. Here's a few pics....

Feel free to add your own local show pics to this thread. Enjoy!

Nice little Chevy....just seeing if you guys are paying attention

This '53 was for sale, $8800.....

Beautiful slick 60's Ford 4x4

Flathead V8 powered tractor

'49 Merc....I lust after these things, I WILL have one someday!!

Tinman,
Thanks for posting the pix. Did you happen to look closely at the tonneau cover on the 48-49 Yellow truck? It looks like the cover may be installed with velcro under the bed and tailgate rolls. It does not look like there are cross braces but yet it fits well and should be reasonably water tight. Any other info? Owners name perhaps?
I have thought about doing the cover in the manner that it looks like may have been done on the yellow truck.

I didn't look that closely, sorry. It was pi$$ing rain most of the time we were there. The owner wasn't around....

I plan on having a cover made for my truck eventually as well.....
Talk to an upholstery shop about the options.....they know all the tricks.

I don't know why, but I've always had an itch to put a flat V-8 in an 8N tractor. That is awesome.

The trucks and car are cool too.
Any chance the "real fire" on the 49 Merc. is by Killer Paint? There are a lot of places, and people, doing it now, but that looks a lot like Mikes work.

I'm not even going to mention the awful new style mirrors.

Looks like decent money was spent on "restoring" the truck. I just don't understand why would someone put so much money into the "restoration" and not use the correct parts? I see this happening all too often and it just bugs me!

The difference between using all correct parts and what's at hand could easily be in the thousands of dollars. The truck looks nice enough in the pics (not a fan of the color scheme) but it could be a 10-footer paint job, bet it has a SBC and TH350. I don't know if he's got $10k in it or $25k. I've seen worse!!

bugs the heck outta me that my COE has the wrong hood, but little choice in this part of the world. MAYBE someone on here might have a nice 48/9 hood and latch plate they want to part with........LOL MY COE was evidently damaged in the left front many, many moons ago and the hood replaced with the wrong one. The white F-1 really didn't look that bad to me....Yeah the mirrors were horrible, and the green accents are kinda gawdy. The truck was dated....maybe built in the 90's? Maybe he built it from spare parts....
It had 289-302 for power.

That Merc is mighty fine! The black car in the background is really nice, too.

OK, I'll piggyback! I went to the local Early Ford V8 Club picnic on Mem. Day, here are some Merc pics for ya. I prefer them near stock, they are mighty impressive as-is.

Also an absolutely cherry 48-50 that BobbyT and I saw at another show earlier this year. It was restored in Michigan for the local (NM) owner, it's as close to 100% as I've ever seen. ($$$$$$)

The '49 Tudor is my favorite, working on the owner... Totally stock original even the paint, Flat V8 w/OD... 2 owners

A couple more...

This '53 has the glass roof section, which I believe makes it the original Crown Victoria?

Also a nice '40. No SBC's in this crowd!!
