Yeah I remember for 2011 they made the 250 vacumn and 350 hydroboost. Prior to that hydro on the 250 was an option.

Not sure the reasoning for deleteing in the 250. Mine has hydo and I think that give a more robust braking application. I need it.

The f250 potentially has better steering while braking then, a problem with larger tires and the hydroboost.

My 2011 350 dually rides about the same as my 2010 250. Both were long bed crew cabs w / 4x4. Both rode considerably better with a load. In 2010, the only difference between the SRW 250 and 350 was the rear axle was one size bigger and taller block on the axle. That gave the 350 1000 lbs more rear end carrying capacity, but the tow capacity was the same. So a reg trailer not much difference. For a fifth wheel it came down to tow capacity, hence the new dually. Personally I'd go with the 350 and not worry about itm

Thank you all for sharing actual owners perspectives on F-250 and F-350. It sounds like I should lean toward F-350 according to the consensus of this thread. I live in the state of Virginia, and I do hope that F-350 is not considered a commercial vehicle.

My 2013 F350 has a Vacuum Booster. Aside from the spring differences that I have noticed between my 2012 F250 and 2013 F350 have been the F250 had a composite oil pan and aluminum drive shaft while the F350 has Steel Pan and Drive Shaft. The 2013 F350 also has better door seals.

Also, ride quality will depend on truck configuration. a regular cab short box will ride a lot harsher than a CC LB. The longer the wheel base, the better the ride is, in my experience.

Absolutely wrong. The F-250 SD and the F-350 SD SRW are the same vehicle, except for badges and the 2 inch higher rear axle blocks.

Yes, Door Sticker with potentially higher GVWR, etc...
Which is exactly why I traded my 2012 f250 10K gvwr in for the 2013 f350 11.5k gvwr !

Other than I LOVE the Tuxedo black metallic and the changes

No difference in ride that I can tell other than the 13 still has the original high psi in the now nitrogen filled tires... by this time on the 250 I had the tpms lowered so I could put 50 psi when not towing...
but since over 50% of the time I AM towing, I haven't brought the 13 in to change it...

in a srw there is absolutely no difference at all in the trucks, only the little sticker that has the GVW on it is the difference. They all have the same front spring ratings and the rear springs are identical, only REAL difference is the F250 has a smaller rear block. The extra spring in the back can be ordered in a F250 with a camper or heavy service package so then its the same setup as a F350.

only difference is if you order the trucks with the 17" or 18" wheels...... 17" gives you a lower GVW so if you order the 18" wheels you get a higher GVW on the sticker........as far as Ive found out though the leaf spring is still the same with either wheel so again its just a little sticker that makes the difference

i live in NJ the state of f$$$ing people that live here. I have a 2004 F350 and i only registered it for 7k when i bought it new. I went to the DMV a month ago because i was going to buy a new 2013 F350 with the 18" wheels that gave the truck a 11.5gvw and my registration and tags were going to be the same price as my 2004's

Hi Folks There are some differences in the GCVW, according to Fords website 2013 Ford Super Duty | View Towing Specifications | Ford.com (2013) you can check the capacities. The Hydroboost is for the F350 and Vacuum assist is F250. In California my F250 4x4 with the camper Pkg puts me at 10,000 Lbs and puts me at a commercial registration. Lift blocks aside

my 250 diesel is exempt from emissions testing in NJ, while I believe 350 and higher need to be sniffed.

I'm pretty sure that if you get an F-250 SRW with a Power Stroke engine, you get hydroboost assist brakes.. Also, if you get an F-350 with a gasoline engine you get vacuum assist brakes.
