What is my 6.7 350 worth on trade or retail sale?

Can anyone here help me with an approximate trade value or private sale value? I took delivery in Sept '10.

Here is a link to my window sticker:
http://services.forddirect.fordvehic...8W3BT1BEB07655

I have added the Reese OEM style underbed rails. It just clicked over to 11k miles.

The wife has given me the OK to do whatever. . I see Car Max has one F250 that is not optioned out like mine for $46k w/14k miles.

Note: I am not posting this as "for sale" on FTE or as an offer to sell on FTE. Just looking for an estimated value to trade this truck for a new one or straight out private sale should I choose to do so.

"Why" I'm selling is not the question, but what it is worth. If you've read through certain posts, I think it would be understandable. NADA, Carpoint, and Edmunds don't have any info available on '11 models so I have zero reference to go on.

Thanks for any guidance.

My willie nillie price after looking at your sticker and how many miles, I would think probably 45k to 50k.

As for the other riders you put on your post, I say go for it... or put a match to it... lol I am OK with what ever you choose to do with YOUR truck (I'm making a joke here but also serious)

This is a tough call to make. My sticker was $59.3K and I paid $49K for it new. Add some miles to the equation and the fact that 2012's are about to come out and you lower the price. I'm guessing low to mid 40's (not based on anything - just a guess).

I do not disagree with what you are saying, BUT some one looking at a used car has no idea how good (in your case) or bad a deal you worked when purchasing.

NOW with what you are saying, I agree... probably more the 40k to 45k range....

Here are a couple of thoughts. Call your insurance company and explain to them what you are doing (selling it -- just so they don't get the idea you are pushing it off of a cliff ) and ask what the replacement value is. This should give you a starting point to work up from. There is usually some value loss but you can add this back in.

Another way is look for the thread that showed the average discount off of MSRP thread. Take that percentage and subtract another 10-12% and you should be within a reasonable price range.

Hope, at least this gives you some ideas.

hmm... as i think about this more, there is also the fact that you are competeing with the current rebates on 2011's which i would think are going to be pretty substantial now or soon... I bet for devaluation the first year on a truck you are looking close to $1 a mile off of purchase price... it Stings... maybe sticker... and is a well educated guess... but I bet thats around where it will end up...

I would guestimate a low of 41,500 to a high of 45,500. The 41,500 is 30% off MSRP and the 45,500 is the average discounted buying price minus the IRS mileage rate for the miles driven. This should be in the ballpark.

I bought my truck used with 1200 miles on it and gave $41000. The original sticker was $53000. I would guess high 30's to very low 40's for your truck.

I think you're pretty close. We have been looking at new F250/350 Lariats and MSRP is close to 60K but they have sell prices of 47K or less on them right now without dickering.

I traded mine in nearly a month ago, and mine was an XLT with an MSRP of $52K with 10,500 miles on it. I was offered between $35-37K from most dealers, and one gave me $50 for it. I found out later that the truck sold for $39,500.

I would guess you'd see about $40 for it, but probably not much more than that.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Based on my calculations, trade value, availability of down pymnt, blah, blah, blah, I've decided that I will continue to live with the truck vs. taking the hard financial kick in the gonads from the dealer now. When I look at it in "money" terms, I can tolerate that @#$% hop for a little while longer.

It's not so bad (deep breath, repeat, deep breath, repeat) Seriously, I'll be fine.

Just an FYI...just because you think it's worth a number doesn't mean it isn't worth a lot more to the right person. I put our camper on Craigslist each fall with a stupid number on it to see if there is any interest. I've sold each camper for what I paid or more this way. Same thing with my last F250...I listed it in the fall when we were done camping and a few months later someone called and ended up buying it for what I paid for it 4 years ago. You never know....

I see what you mean. Here is a link to a Craigslist ad for a dealer. 2011 Ford F350 SRW, 4X4, Crew Cab, Lariat, FX4 Pkg., Leather, Loaded I could probably compete with that truck and come out better by selling straight out.
