what are you guys running in your 4r100's?

I was thinking about using the valvoline extended mileage crap

supposed to be for transmissions with over 75,000 miles

mine has 120k

what are you guys running?

Plain ol' ATF that's what my manual calls for, just changed it in July no problems so far I'm creeping up to the 118k mark

I just changed to amsoil atf my trans has 155,00 on it. we will see,

well the valvoline says its mercon rated, think I might try it, going to dump the torque converter too, how do I fill the torque converter back up though? dont want to start the truck with it dry

Drain the pan and the TC. Once it's all out, put in 6 quarts. Start the truck and cycle through the gears, this will fill up the TC. Shut down, then add 6 more quarts, do the same thing. Once you've cycled it twice then fill to capacity, warm it up (dive it) then top it off if needed.
