trying to ID Ford manual Transmission

I just bought a 300 6 cyl and mated to it is a transmission that I believe is a manual 3 spd. I am trying to ID it so I can figure out what to do with it. I dont need the tranny it was th 300 engine that I need as the block is cracked in my 75 F250.

What I know about this transmission is this.

Casting on the side says 'ORION'
tag riveted to the side has two lines, top line 'PABJ' and bottom line has 'DGJC2507' stammped on it.

I have been searching with these numbers to no avail. Does anyone know what this tranny might be?

If it's just a regular 3-speed it would have a 9-bolt top cover that can be removed. It could be the 3.03 3-speed tranny. It is also referred to as the 3-speed "toploader" transmission. Does it have external linkage for the shifter? If so, does the linkage connect to two bolts on the outside of the trans?

Doesn't have any linkage attached to it. I'd include a pic of it in here but don't see where to add a pic.

I think 73FordF100 nailed it. Looks like the 3.03 3spd to me.

Yes that is a 3.03 3-speed manual. The external linkage I was referring to is the linkage for the shifter. In your case, the linkage has been removed, as well as the shifter (obviously).

I thought it was but the numbers led me no where and the back end of the case wasn't matching some pics I found. Thanks much, guess I will list this now and try to get rid of it.
