Newbie looking for a project

Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum and in search of a project truck. Can someone point me in the right direction to a source of trucks in this year?
Thank you!
David

im in portland OR and there are always slicks on Craigslist. just go to cars&truck and type in f100. this will help if your just looking for an f100 but not the 250's or others.
good luck on finding one you like and welcome to FTE

You're highly unlikely to find any in the northeast that aren't terminal rust bombs. It's really worth the time and expense to import one from a dry climate. The $1500 it may cost to ship one is easily saved in not having to replace floorpans, cab mounts, hood, roof rain gutters, bed floors, etc etc.

Watch the classifieds here and on Slick 60s. If you find one that interests you, ask in the regional forums for someone to have a look at it. Get good photos and even better, video. I bought mine in NC based mostly on a well done video; even had the truck on a lift. Spend as much as you can afford for a good, clean body. That's where the expense lies. The mechanical stuff is easy.

Here's a link to the Ford truck part of my web site: Ford I've got a few articles on there that may be helpful, including the "What is my truck worth?" one.
