I've done it dozens of times the way CDOW does it. I've also just drilled lots of holes through the rubber or urithane bushings then they almost fall out on their own ( not quite literally,). then knock out the metal parts with a hammer and punch or chisel.

Did you get the job done? Do you have any additional questions?

A propane torch will melt the rubber out. It is the way I burned the rubber out of my bushings.

i couldnt get the torch to work rite,dah, so i drilled all around the rubber till i could drive then out then cut a slot with a saws-all then used a air chisel to bend the shell over till i could drive it out i have 1 side done !!!!!
& im getting to old for this s--t

I replaced mine two days ago. I used a Oxy/acetylene torch with a cutting handle. I melted the rubber for a while until it was soft, then take a nick outta the centre tube and mine came out ridiculously easy (pulled out with pliers). then too a screw driver and a hammer and pryed the old melted rubber out and then used the oxy to cut the outer sleeve. once i figured out how to do it. they were all a sinch...
