All,
I have a 1989 F150 5.0L 4X4 and I needed to change the heater hoses. However when i tried to remove the hoses from the connections on the heater core I could not budge them. I did loosen the clamps, is there something else I am missing?

Also there is a small hose on the waterpump that looks like it goes into the block. How hard is that to change? Will I need to pull the water pump to change?

Appreciate any advice. Just got back from a deployment and want to take care of the truck.

The hoses are probably just really stuck on the heater core tubes. It happens. If youre replacing them you can just use a knife and cut a slit in the hose and that usually opens it enough to twist it/tear it off.

Cant give you any insight on the other question. Different engine.
