Hello from Seymour, TN!

My name is Brian M. and I just purchased my first Ford Truck. Its a 2008 F-250 Super Duty XLT and has the 6.4L Turbo Diesel engine. I'm looking to tow a 5th wheel camper across the country and thought this would do the job well. I would be interested to know what the experience of others with the same truck and/or motor have been. Thanks in Advance!

Greetings and welcome from Chattanooga! My old truck won't tow a whole lot, but others here have some powerful trucks and experience to share.

Welcome to FTE.
Those 6.4 trucks can tow pretty good. They have good power for towing so I hear. Stop by the diesel section for the 6.4 engines. Ask them about some of their experiences and issues. They will share their info with you good. They can help you get it ready for the long haul and recommend things you may want to do to it bvefore you leave.

Where are you traveling to out there? Hopefully you are coming back to good ole' TN.

And Welcome to FTE

Thanks for the welcome guys! I've enjoyed my short time on the forum so far!

@Neal 97 - The family and I are considering a move to AK. We are working hard to make that happen and are almost ready. A few more things to work out. When that happens, we'll be heading that way. I'm not sure how long we will be there at this point, the wife and I just know that's where we are suppose to be at this point in our life. All of our family is here so I'm sure we will be back from time to time. Thanks again for your help. I've been browsing the 6.4 forum all day. Lots of good info there!

I prefer Seymour, it's small, and doesn't get as cold.

Thanks guys! We just made it to AK a little over a week ago. The truck did awesome on the way up! We are getting settled and preparing for the winter ahead. :-)
