Seriously, thanks for the kind words.
Mike, I think I can speak for almost all of us on FTE especially Marc, Alan and myself that you have set the gold standard of restoration. We have all looked at what you have done with your truck and used your ideas and practices on our own projects. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Steve, Marc and all the rest of you for the positive comments and encouragement on the Pumpkin build, but I think I've run into a problem.
I'm afraid my heads going to be so big, I won't be able to fit in the cab to drive her.....hijack over.

So then you'll need a crew cab, right?

Well I think I can get'er done this week.
Fingers crossed.
Today was hand tool fab day. Which sucks but hey, you do what you gotta do.
I fabbed a bracket for my steering shaft support and finished up my trans tunnel.
I used this heim set welded to the end of some 1.25/ .130 DOM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271390106029?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITThen welded to a .250 HR foot which was bolted to the motor mount bracket using the bolts already there.
I'm waiting for the middle coupler to show up or I would have buttoned it up today.
Hope I can make some noise this weekend.

Definitely a male truck.

Well, I know a few of you have been wondering how the hell I'm going to bend that steering shaft down to the gear box.
Here's how.
That shaft support I made yesterday gives you a hard corner to install a coupler in the middle of the shaft. So you cut the old shaft in two and viola, now it bends.
Not to mention if you spend a little extra it adds some sparkle.

Looks really good Marc! I really like the touch of blue with the ignition wires and heater hoses.
Envy meter pegged.

Gracias amigo.
I really like the look.
Also finished the fuel supply today.
Bent up some stainless 3/8 tubing.
And finally got rid of the zip tie hose clamps for the new Earls clamps.
Tomorrow I'll try to get everything back together and ready to fire.

I have been following this thread from the beginning and I just wanted to say that I think that you are doing a really nice first class job on your truck. Very interesting and enjoyable to follow and not over the top. Nice job and keep up the good work!

Thank you very kindly.
That is exactly what I'm going for.
Leave the used patina on the outside because it IS s truck, but when you pop the hood or look at the interior you just nod your head as you notice things.

I fixed that for ya Marc.
The engine room looks awesome. Well planned and executed.

That engine compartment is one of the most awesome looking that I have seen. Nice job on the steering shaft. Are those alt and p/s brackets and pulleys from CVR Racing? Am considering those for mine.

Thank You and yes they are.
They are very nice units but as with anything where you completely change how it's done you have to fiddle about a bit.
