Because I didn't neccesarily want to level it. I was hoping I could leave it alone, but now a leveling kit has to be ordered. At one time I was gonna lift it, but I am alway's towing or hauling, plus offroading with it....sometimes all at the same time. I wanted more traction and clearance. O well leveling kit it is!

I'm running the 285/75-18 Toyo M/T's. They would clear on my stock rims without the leveling kit but I wanted a bit more clearance. I love the tires, they've done pretty good this winter. Haven't had anything substantial like Scott (Senix) posted but good nonetheless.
Leveling kits are cheap, especially compared to what these tires cost! FWIW - I went with a ReadyLift kit (stage 2) 2.5". Depending on how much rake you do or don't have on your 250, it'd probably be worth measuring so you don't end up with the nose up...

Why do you have your doubts? Tires with standard measurements (e.g. 35x12.50R18) rarely measure out to their full diameter when mounted and installed. There are a number of different factors that play into that (wheel width, tire pressure, weight, etc), but a 35" tire will often measure out more like 34.5" for example. Either way, a friend of mine installed 35x12.50R18 on his '05 F250 at stock height--maybe a leveling kit, but I don't think so. He had only one rubbing issue at full lock that turned out to be part of the front wheel well plastic liner having been torn up a little in the corner. He didn't notice before with smaller tires, but all he had to do was tuck it back into its normal place, and no more issue.

Get them installed first. My tires measure 34.5 when they were new. I had no troubles in about a year and a half never rubbed. I did trim the lower 1" off the well liner mostly to keep it from flexing enough and grabbing and screwing it up worse. Stock suspension with snow plow prep pkg.

I wanted to update! The Toyo's are on! They make a subtle hum, and look great. I haven't got to use them much, as I have only driven about 10 miles with them. I am having some other issues with my truck, and it is a bit scary to drive at the moment (look in the ultimate superduty thread, if you care to read/know.) This weekend they should get a good workout, probably no snow, but we will see what I think of them in mud. If I don't crash the truck before that! (I hope that doesn't happen)
