6.7L Spartan Tuning now available!

Just wandered over to the Spartan website to help out a guy in the 6.4L forum and saw that they just released their 6.7L tune products. Many 6.4L owners swear by their products, and I think lots of people have been waiting for them to release something for the 6.7L trucks.

It's HERE!

Seeing that a visit to the dealer for warranty is almost a sure thing, having a tune is not a good idea.

I'm not saying that I would tune mine, as I've always believed that voiding the warranty on something that expensive to fix is a bad idea.

But lots of folks do, so I wanted to let anyone considering tuning know that the Spartan setup has been released.

Thanks for letting us know. I know Spartan will put out a good product. It is probably impossible, but here is my wish list for my truck:

1- Ability to turn tune on/off on the go.

2- Turn off the traction control/Advance track/brake over accelerator B.S.

3- Option to "lock out" first gear (start out in second w/out having to in manual)

4- Rid myself of the 95mph governor.

I used a SMARTY on my Cummins and it was a bad ****. I was gentle with her on the setting and could still feel my tranny slip when I traded her in. I'm not messing with this truck with maybe the exception of a small lift and wheels. It is powerful enough for me.

Yeah I wish I could block 1st gear....way to low and when I'm n town its just a waste. just my .02 The truck has tons of power "as is" but damn it would be so so so so much fun with MORE. Remember "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen? "More Power!!!" ar ar ar......

& I don't want the extra noise from and exhaust

so mine will stay stock and I'll have dream of smokin the $300+ tires LOL

I also had the smarty running on my '06 dodge. it really turned the truck into a pulling beast, my truck was rated at 325 hp and 600 torque, I always ran the 60 hp tune, I will say my 2011 ford would not keep up with it. as some point I might have to back off because the EGT's would get up there but until then it would have been gone. with the smarty tune you really almost had to relearn to drive the truck, I was careful not to lay into it below 2k rpm, it just seemed like too much grunt and gave me the feeling the trans did not like it. I ran it for about 85k miles though without issue. I also miss being able to smoke drivers that make me mad.

Just called them; $1479 with Warhammer 200 hp tune. Plus about another $ 1000 exhaust/labor. Can't wait!

600 hp guess well be spend a lot on tires and trannys and what that going to give you in torque

The lady I spoke to said that customers are reporting 2 to 5 mpg gains. So the unit should pay for itself in about two years for me. Spartan is a reputable company, so I expect the claims are accurate.
This should make this truck driveable, cuz right now she is a real dog. It's partly the altitude I live at, but my '06 was much more responsive, and didn't do anything weird when you mashed on the throttle.
This should really make a difference in drivability for me.
So far, they have not seen any problems with these tunes, which also cover transmission programming.

I'd be happy just to be able to remove DPF and EGR. Don't need 200 more hp.

That would be great.

It reads as if the 40RWHP is an option to allow for the emissions removal at the lowest tune.
I don't know anything about tunes so I don't know what the options are (such as removal but stock HP).
Spartan would be able to explain that.
I'm not researching anything for now. 183,000 miles and counting (down).

I would be scared to death to hook a trailer to the 200RWHP!
I don't need the extra 40 HP as it is.
The trucks have plenty of air to breathe here in AL.

I am going to go on a rant for a second. I don't like all of these safety features that are supposed to make our trucks better. Its like ford produces this awesome engine with 400hp but doesn't let us power brake it, or slide around our favorite corner on our daily commute. I just read the post about the 450's not starting off from a dead stop like they should and it pisses me off. Ford is doing it on purpose. That's why I want a tuner company to make these trucks perform like they should. I want a "drivers" truck. This is my truck and I AM DRIVING IT!!! Not the computer.
