Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!
Well I have to go help my buddy down near South Whitley today...he's building a sugar shack in the woods for making maple syrup and I told him I would give him free labor for free hunting access...he agreed and today we have to set the 6x6 posts (10 of them I think)...thankfully he has a post digger on the PTO of his tractor...so that will be easy...hauling the 12' 6x6's and on 20' 6x6 thru the woods won't be fun...plus the skeeters are wicked right now...I've got two deep woods off's with me and I'm bringing my fogger to try and "slow" them down at least! lol...
Should be a fun and fulfilling day!
I'll check in with everyone later this afternoon when I get home...I'll try and snap a photo or two as well...
Have a great one folks!
Joe.

Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!
Well yesterday in the woods was fairly productive.
We placed only three of the main posts...digging was easy but things just never go as planned...the posts we placed were 6x6x12'.
The skeeters were horrible...we had plenty of deep woods off and I brought my fogger which we fogged periodically and amazingly enough really did an excellent job of keeping the skeeters at bay while we were in the middle of THEIR house!...if you strayed outside of the build site though...man did they come at you with FULL FORCE!...I was amazed at how well we controlled them in the middle of the woods and I was also amazed with how many skeeters there really were...!!!
I'll be getting on a plane in a few hours headed back to SoCal so I can't help my buddy out today...but he's finishing up the staking of the rest of the poles with his dad...and he may get some of them placed this week after work...but if not, regardless I told him I'd help him next Sunday (yeah I know it is Father's day and all...)...but Saturday we are having Zoe's 12th birthday party here at the house...so I can't help on Saturday...but we're making progress at least.
The Nebraska party sure is a distraction though...you guys that haven't stopped down should swing thru to see the place...Pat sure is a messy housekeeper...mud, beer cans, cigar butts, bikini's, all sorts of things just "laying around"...
The evening entertainment is something to write home about...I've never seen a party quite like it...well some of our frat partys were close...I remember this one party...we had 15 kegs over 400 people and the cops busted us...and it was early when they busted us too and took all of the kegs!...most of them still FULL!!!...thankfully no one was arrested and only the beer was taken and people told to "leave"...thinking back on that particular party...it was an absolute fire hazard in that old house that should have been condemed!
Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!
Have a great one...I'll try and check in as the day goes on with my travels...but it is always a hard thing to do.
Later,
Joe
