New stereo in my 74
I wanted to keep the stock radio in the truck and not disturb the dash. Purchased some 6x9 Pioneers speakers and a small Kicker 2 channel amp.
Installed all 3 behind the bench. The speakers are in some purchased enclosures.
Ran the phono plug to the front seat. Plugged it into my phone - Pandora never sounded so good!
The amp turns on/off with the ignition key (acc or on). I'll add a switch soon in case I want to turn the amp off when the truck is running (can't turn it off without turning off truck right now).
Total cost: $160 (including primary wire, fuse holders etc.)
I'll post some pics once I neaten up the wires tomorrow.

And if you really want terrestrial radio, most stations stream.
I put the original philco AM back in the truck just to keep the factory look.
