Sounds like you may have stiction. Stiction is build up in the injectors.

Rev-x is highly used and reccomended. Some use 1 bottle, some use 2 and it cleans out the build up. if you use 15w-40 diesl oil, switching to any 5w-40 diese oil will also help the engine.

Do you have any codes?

How often do you chage your oil? Do you use racor or motorcraft filters?

1950t, rev-x will not only clean out the injectors, it will clean the entire oil system, very good

Some even report better turbo operation.

Also what about fuel in the area; you go to one station or swap up? 4000 miles is still relative close in mileage that it could have been bad fuel and those injectors held on as long as they could, but just gave out.

Stiction can build up no matter the mileage. It is usually a reflection on fuel quality and/or driving habits.

stiction is the oil, not the fuel? Isnt stiction a reflection of age and or frequency of oil changes.

Dammit, I was reading an EGR issue, I got my threads confused.

I need a vacation. I'm going to crawl back in the cave I came from.
