I just bought a 79 F150 custom 4x4 with a 351M to rebuild a little. It needs a new brake booster/master cylinder and I can't figure out which one to buy. There seems to be two options for the truck I have. They are labeled as "To Serial #DJ0,000" and "From Serial #DJ0,001". I have found some numbers on the current brake booster but it is so rusted they are completely unreadable. How do I determine what one to buy?

That refers to the serial number on the warranty plate, located on the drivers side door jamb.

 

The serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN.

That autoparts store application jazz is partially in-correct. It is not "to" serial number DJ0,001. It's before serial number DJ0,001 / From serial number DJ0,001
