nice job. I am gettting ready to paint for the first time. Where do you begin on sand paper? Is there a process?
1.) Sand (what grit)
2.) when do you prime after which sand and do you sand after prime, then paint?
I think we used like 800 gritt because it had alot of surface rust. once we got the surface rust off we painted because its jus a mud truck werent really goin for looks but it looks good. for you prolly do 800 then 1000 until all spots are smooth and do the primer and see if theres any parts you missed if not maybe sand the primer a lil and apply the actual coat and maybe do 2 or three coats. i dont know much about painting though
after you sand, do you blow the dust off before prime? Do you sand by hand? How soon does paint have to go on after it has been primed? I will probably have to paint my stuff outside.

yea usually blow it off with an air compressor. you can sand by hand or air compressed sander and wait till the primer dries then you can start paint
they are pretty much THE mud tire to have on these trucks. It's too bad the factory went under and you can't buy them anymore. I bought one of the last sets for my 96 f150 last year.
Hey, just to let you know... I *HEARD* super swamper picked that tire up, like 6 or 7 months after denmark went under, so if they aren't available again yet, they *SHOULD* be soon. I also heard that since swamper picked'em up, the price has reflected that.
I actually heard that from 2 different places, my friend said he saw it on super swampers website, and my cousin that owns a cooper dealership said they were coming back (I don't know if he meant denmark, or the ground hawg)
Btw: sweet truck! And its even sweeter that it was free!
P.S. I'd tell the PO that he could have the winch but the grears are going no where.
