D1VE-6815-A2E what block

D1VE-6815-A2E what block is this; a 429 or a 460 or are they the same part numbers regardless?

1971, right? What was the application?

i belive that it dosent matter the bore is the same stroke is diffrent so you can make what ever you want. and yes 71

the 429 and 460 used the same block.

it is not necessarily a 71 block. all the casting number tells you is that it was first cast in 1971. that particular block was used from 71 - mid 79 when the D9TE block came out (which was used till the end of the 460).

casting numbers don't tell you the exact year of the block, just when that part was first used.
