The valvetrain is all cleaned out with the covers back on along with the manifolds, ect. Now I am just waiting on the oil pan gaskets and the carb kit to arrive. The paint on the pan is now dry and I am trying to remerber if there was a gasket for the inspection plate, was there?

Just to conclude this thread I got the engine all back together and it runs like a dream. It runs so good in fact, I decided to not even seafoam it. After cleaning everything out I'm not so sure it would do much, if it aint broke, dont fix it!

Yeah. Just run a good 15W40 oil (DELO, Rotella etc) in it and change it at normal intervals and enjoy it!!

Cheers,
