if you are doing it the way I think you are.. you need to remove the intakae elbow from the intake as well as the 10mm bolt that holds the fuel line from the passanger head
on the front of the intake.

A pressure washer in the valley with the intake out might be a bit too agressive. Put a drain pan underneath the back of the motor where the infamous bell housing drip usually accumulates and use brake cleaner. You get the added benefit of washing the backside of the motor also and it drains right into the pan. I actually clean all the loose stuff off with a brush or vacuum before removing the oil cooler and then after removing the oil cooler I just run all the oil from the HPO reservoir down the valley and off the back of the motor THEN clean it all up with brake cleaner after replacing the oil cooler assembly. It sounds like a huge mess but it works really really well.

Im right down to the oil cooler havent undone it yet just need to clean the valley better. I sucked the loose stuff with a vacum but its still a mess. I was thinking I might put the turbo drain in to keep the junk from going down in the HPOP while I cleaned it

that IPR looks nasty to get at later so I will give the engine valley a good cleaning tommorrow I will get some foam carb cleaner and some brake cleaner and go to town cleaning it up. Dont want to mess up my IPR

I can pressure wash tthat inside of the intake manafold like cheezit said too
do you pull the IAT sensor out while you pressure wash it

the inside of the intake was fairly clean hell some of it was still shiny inside the intake manafold there was like some greasy patches inside. but not near as bad as I thought I figured it would all be covered in soot

birthday partys got me behind schedule a little

you pros would have been all done
I probably have 8hr in it so far

the car cleaner is for cleaning the intake ports.
