'80 F100 tags help
Just bought 1980 F100. Supposed to be only 3 previous owners. I need help with the VIN & door tag.
VIN: F10ENHD1099
DOOR TAG STUFF:
WB - 117
BODY - AA
TRANS - J
AXLE - 13
DSO - 1980
EXT PAINT - 6D
I also have the original warranty ID card so I know the original purchasing company. It is 2 lines of info:
F10ENHD1099 9 6D 25
F100 4 13 J
The truck in an inline 300 6cyl auto but I don't know which tranny. Truck is in amazing shape with only minor rusted out areas, mostly over wheel wells. Bench seat is ruined but I can recover it myself. I did look under the hood and it had a "Duraspark" instead of ignition control module.
Is this a 2bbl carb setup and if not, can I put a 2 bbl or a 4bbl on it? Shortbed and solid rear window. Door locks aren't visible, instead they are slides down on the door panel itself.
Would love to get a Carfax but on disability, so can't afford it right now. Saw the info on ordering a build sheet so will do that tomorrow but anything I can find out now is great.
It's replacing my '84 F150 that was wrecked in March. Frame got twisted so she was a total loss for me.
Thanks, Tabitha
