Aftermarket - how about a bolt on twin piston brake kit with hubs for separate rotors by Wilwood or similar.
A 5 speed conversion kit for Tremec TKO or T5. Maybe even a hydraulic clutch option.

I put a TKO-500 behind the FE in my '70 F100 long bed. Contact Paul or Bruce at Modern Driveline and they'll help you out with all the parts (Trans, trans mount, clutch package, pilot bushing, speedo gear, shifter arm and boot, reverse light pigtail). It'll require a shortened input shaft to fit a stock FE bell. My trans crossmember only had to be moved back by one inch.
The mechanical clutch linkage works just like OEM.

Yes sir, I've called them and talked to them. Thing is we're wanting to use an existing transmission, a Tremec 3550, for the application. It's just not as versatile as the TKO. Thanks for letting me know about the crossmember. I needed that info.
